It has begun…

What better way to officially kickoff the Hungry Cliff blog than with our very first podcast!  Hi, I’m Tony, the creator of Hungry Cliff so you’ll be hearing from me quite a bit up on these here interwebs.  I’m very excited to have this virtual playground to share whatever creative endeavors my friends and I are concocting in our lab, be it short films, photography, podcasts or emu farming.

We have a ton in store for this site and can’t wait to begin adding to it on a regular basis.  Let us know what you think in the comments below as it’s still in ‘beta’.  Maybe one of your suggestions will even make it to the final ‘1.0’ version giving you some wicked bragging rights.

Our ambitious goal is to release a new podcast episode each Monday so go ahead and click the iTunes subscribe link below to make sure you don’t miss a thing.  The ‘Shop‘ button on the top menu will take you to our new stores for your shopping enjoyment where you can buy exclusive Hungry Cliff apparel or even see recommendations for various gear that has made this site a reality.  Feel free to support the site through these as our moms would be very grateful.

So while you’re waiting for us to update the site some more and figure out how we can get Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at our next birthday party, check out our first podcast below.

Until next time…

This week we review the new Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson action flick “Fast Five” and discover why you should always get your dessert first.  We also take a moment to introduce ourselves, since it’d be inconsiderate of us not to seeing that it is our first podcast.  Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen the film.

What do you do at the end of your day?

This is a short film some friends and I made way back in the year called 2006 during one of those “create an entire film from scratch in 36 hours” competitions.  You’re given a genre, line of dialogue and prop you must use.  The only thing we added after the event was original music (instead of stock) that my friend Pedro was kind enough to compose.  Everything else was done in a day and a half.  If you’re into filmmaking and haven’t done a weekend film contest, I highly recommend you do at least one as you’ll be surprised at what you can learn under that sort of pressure.  Extra credit to those that can spot the prop.
